Sanitation - essential health, safety, and sanitation principles relevant to cosmetology, ensuring that licensed professionals understand the standards and practices necessary for maintaining a safe and hygienic environment in the barber and beauty industry. Topics will include infectious control, proper sanitation techniques, and safety protocols to protect both the client and practitioners.
3 CEU Credits Techniques
This course discusses various cosmetology technical practice topics that include:
esthetics - skincare techniques, including facials, makeup application, and hair removal.
nails - nail care techniques, including manicures, pedicures, and nail enhancements such as acrylics or gels.
chemicals - reactive straightening chemicals such as relaxers and keratin treatments. and hair coloring. to include methods of hair coloring, color theory.
cutting - basic and advanced haircutting techniques that include blunt cuts, layers, texturizing, and point cutting using various tools and equipment used in cutting.
marketing - practices that focuses on promoting service by various ways of branding using social media and developed relationships needed for business acumen.
Human Trafficking - What is human trafficking, how to recognize the signs, and how to report to law enforcement.
